Simplicity 是我个人信奉的价值观，在技术推崇和产品评估上尤其如此。反观公司的核心业务，却一直在简单高回报之外徘徊。

在东京两日，和投资圈内人的接触，包含在创始团队，都提到了简化核心业务目标的必要性。目标清晰，无论什么阶段，都是公司需要保持警惕的。定位商业模式之后，全力以赴，把生意背后的逻辑变简单，做到极致，才能赢。领导团队还需要更加努力，找到一条属于 pipi 能长久发展的商业道路。

2025 年，我们在运营上尝试做减法。上半年我们对房源质量进行评级，果断解约了背向商业价值的不合格资源，让团队能聚焦在创造更多价值的资产标的上。在产品上，突出核心的自营品牌价值，把能量集中，把优势放大。技术上，今年我们完成多平台和 AI 架构基础上，开始拆解核心业务支撑的项目，用简单高效推动流程的变化。

回顾年初，我们提出提高效率的目标。在优化业务架构前提下，梳理公司目标，团队目标和个人目标，从半年之后团队反馈看，起到了明确的效果。然而从财务角度，营收和毛利并没有得到明显的改善。模式的局限性，以及市场的两次低迷，对今年第二季度影响颇大。效率可以降低成本，提高增长速度。然而商业模式和团队效率的上限，决定了经营毛利率。追求效率的同时，盲目的扩张和投入，就会产生所谓战术的勤奋掩盖战略的懒惰。

Simplicity

Dave Thomas’s new book - Simplicity came to my attention. I finished reading it in the last weekend.

It’s relatively short, and it’s different from Dave’s previous pratical books on programming. I was intrigued by the simple words and humour of the book. Due to the similarity of our background on technical domains, as well as the shared belief in simplicity, I found myself resonating with many of his ideas. Especially, the emphasis on simplicity in software development, the taste of good code, the design of systems, and the importance of simplicity in business models.

Here the beatiful definition of simplicity from Dave Thomas:

Simplicity is the essence of clarity, minimalism, and ease. It means stripping away the unnecessary to reveal what truly matters. In the design of physical things, it’s about clean lines and intuitive function. In life, it’s about focusing on what’s meaningful and eliminating distractions. In code, it’s all of these. Simplicity is not simple—it’s intentional, refined, and effective. It brings peace, efficiency, and elegance.
